Few people may remember my Old Van. The Van who started all. Since I came to Switzerland no one really drove or used it. Which is pretty sad. Yesterday I let the mechanics pick it up to get it fixed. I will keep everyone updated.

What a great van! I love these old-school Toyota minivans, especially the HiAce. They have such a classic, robust design.
It’s interesting how they became a sort of cultural icon in Thailand, especially the boxy models from the 90s. The Toyota HiAce (H100 generation) was a workhorse, a true multi-purpose vehicle used for everything from public transport (the famous “songthaew” minibusses) to family road trips. Toyota Motor Thailand even established a joint venture with Toyota Auto Body in 1988 specifically to produce the HiAce locally, which is why you still see so many of them on the roads today, 20 or 30 years later. Their durability is just incredible!
Thanks for sharing this, it’s great to see a classic being given some much-needed love.
