🎓 MoriTour & Srinakharinwirot University – A Journey of Knowledge and Nature Visiting SWU Ongkharak Campus
Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) has a rich history. It grew from the Advanced Teacher Training School founded in 1949 and the College of Education opened in 1953. In 1974 these institutions were merged and renamed Srinakharinwirot University. Today SWU is an autonomous university with two campuses: Prasarnmit in Bangkok and Ongkharak campus in Nakhon Nayok, about 70 km north of Bangkok rpa126.nsysu.edu.tw. The Ongkharak campus specialises in health sciences, technology and community services and stretches over a leafy area with lakes and gardens. Its water management is exemplary: the campus has large lakes and interconnecting waterways that store rainwater and irrigate the extensive greenery sdg.swu.ac.th. Sustainable mobility is also promoted through EV‑charging stations and an e‑motorbike sharing platform sdg.swu.ac.th.

Discovering Nakhon Nayok & Heritage
The Ongkharak campus lies in Nakhon Nayok, a province just 106 km from Bangkok. Although often overlooked by travellers, Nakhon Nayok boasts refreshing natural beauty with waterfalls, parks and adventure activities. The Tourism Authority of Thailand notes that the province offers day‑trip attractions such as Sarika Waterfall, hiking in Khao Yai National Park and delicious local fruits tourismthailand.org.
