I have a great story about this mountain. It was about 15 years ago. My friend Roger was there with us. He is a cyclist. And he was going to race! He was going to ride his bike all the way up Doi Suthep. It was a famous race. We met him at the bottom, near the Chiang Mai Zoo. The race started there. There were so many people. The energy was so high. We saw Roger get ready. He was so focused. We cheered for him at the start line. 🚴♂️
We watched him start the climb. It was so hard. The road goes up and up and up. We followed him up the mountain in a car. We wanted to see him finish. It was a long journey. The views from the road were just incredible. We stopped at a few viewpoints. The city of Chiang Mai looked so small below us. The air felt fresh and cool. It was a beautiful day. ☀️
When we got to the top, the temple was waiting. It felt so calm and peaceful there. The temple is so old and full of history. We saw people praying and doing their rituals. The golden chedi was shining so bright. ✨ It was a magical place. We learned a little about its story and its important role for people. We were lucky to be there during a festival. There was music and beautiful flowers everywhere. The whole place was full of life and color. 🎶
It was a day I will never forget. Watching Roger do something so difficult was inspiring. And the beauty of the temple was a perfect reward. What a special place. I am so glad I could remember that day. Thanks again for your post! 🙏
