    Phu Chi Fa is famous for its stunning “sea of mist,” and the reason for this natural wonder is as beautiful as the view itself. The name “Phu Chi Fa” means “Mountain of the Pointing Finger” in Thai, a reference to its unique, pointy peak that juts out over the border between Thailand and Laos. The mist phenomenon occurs most often during Thailand’s cool season, from November to February. At night, the cold, heavy air sinks into the valleys below.
